Administrator
and cellist who was a member of the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of
Philadelphia on their 1987 Christmas album, Gloria! Gloria!. He was also a member of The Philadelphia
Orchestra, executive consultant for the Philly Pops, executive director for
the Reading Symphony Orchestra, and general manager for Pennsylvania Pro Musica.
In 1999, he
became executive director of the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra in Lexington,
Kentucky, a post he held for eleven years.
His
hobby: raising horses such as
Nonesuch Spirit of Opie, who is housed at
Kentucky Horse Park. In 2000, he and his wife found a way
to combine their two loves by creating a multi-media presentation called
Horsetails, which was designed to raise money for the LPO’s
Partners in Education program, which helps out children in The Bluegrass
State.
He returned to
the recording studio at the turn of the millennium, playing cello on the
Jubilate Deo Chorale and Orchestra’s 2001
album, Our God Reigns. Retired from his administrative
duties, Peter is still active as a cellist with the Lexington Ballet.
