He is a trumpeter and teacher born in Fairfax,
Virginia. He studied the trumpet
from the age of eleven and went on to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy,
the Peabody Conservatory of Music and Indiana University. In this professional career as a
musician he has appeared with many orchestras and ensembles such several symphony
orchestras local to Indiana, Tim Zimmerman & The King's Brass, the St.
Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, Duluth-Superior Symphony
Orchestra, Allegro Con Brio and the Mount Vernon Brass Quintet which he
founded while still attending Peabody Conservatory of Music. An active participant
in music festivals he has been a performer at Germany's Schleswig-Holstein
Music Festival, a regular at the Aspen Music Festivals and in 2001 he
appeared at Carnegie Hall as Principal Trumpet of the National Festival Orchestra. Recordings he has appeared on include
Classic Hymns by Tim Zimmerman & The King's Brass.
