She is a flautist and piccolo player who began her musical studies at an early age. She entered the Utrecht Conservatory where she studied music and music therapy.

After she graduated she became a piccolo player in The Hague with the Residence Orchestra. Some time later she took up the position of a flautist with the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestra.

An active chamber musician who has performed as a group member and soloist, she has toured, internationally on occasion, with a number of wind ensembles. These include the Asko-Schoenberg Ensemble, the Brabant Orchestra, the Dutch Wind Ensemble, the Holland Wind Players, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and the Reicha Wind Quintet.

In 2006 she joined the pianist David Kuyken on stage at Amsterdam’s Concertgebuow at a celebratory concert of the 20th anniversary of his career as a musician. More recently she has been a Resident Artist at the 40^th Festival Internacionale de Inverno de Campos do Jardao in Brazil.

Recordings she has appeared on include Portrait with the Capriccio Salon Ensemble, Under the Green Time and Una Odissea by the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble.
