She is a saxophonist and songwriter born in North
Adams, Massachusetts, who starting to play when she was just 10 years
old.She was in various school
bands and took part in regional and state competitions and followed that by
embarking on her professional career when she was 16 years old.She would also take her further
education in music with a scholarship from the University of Miami and
after graduation she settles in Atlanta.She began performing with the group Diversity after
having met Charles Neville and through him in 1991 she became a member of
the Coral Reefer Band who accompany Jimmy Buffett and stayed with them for
1415 years until 2006. Over
the years she has performed as a studio musician and writer with many acclaimed
artists and groups such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Clint Black, Clarence
Gatemouth Brown, Glenn Frey, Billy Joel, Ben E. King, Joni Mitchell, Charles
Neville, The Richard Smallwood Singers, Ringo Starr, James Taylor, The
Temptations. She also played at the Presidential Inaugural Ball of Bill
Clinton and has worked on many commercials for radio and television. In the late 1990s she branched out
on her own as a solo artist and released her album Inside the Outside
in 1999 with many of her own songs.This was followed by her second release, Use Me, in 2004.She has featured on several albums
during her career including Portrait by The Richard Smallwood
Singers, Nothing Can be Better by Luther Barnes & The Sunset
Jubilaires and Jimmy Buffett's Beach House on the Moon, Tuesdays,
Thursdays & Saturdays, Don't Stop the Carnival, Christmas Island
and Barometer Soup.She
co-wrote with Jimmy Buffett and others the title track "Fruitcakes" and "Delaney
Talks to Statues" of his Fruitcakes album and "Bob Robert's Society
Band" for Banana Wind. She has been the President and owner of Publick
Ptomaine Music since 1984.
