    Marks, Danny (1950-Present)

He is a guitarist and songwriter born in Toronto, Canada.  He started out in The Whiskey Sours in Toronto, and in 1966 became a founder member of the group Edward Bear who had hits with songs including "You, Me and Mexico", "Last Song" and "Close Your Eyes".  After he left the band in 1971 he moved to California and played for Mama Lion and then returned home to be head-hunted by Rick James.  He was also a member of Jericho and toured with the Average White Band before backing up artists such as Rita Coolidge, Bo Diddley and Stephen Stills.  He had weekly shows and a seven year season of Stormy Monday on the CBC radio network.  He is regarded as a blues guitar veteran and his theme music is known in movies and on TV.  He has also written, recorded and released his own albums.
