He is a guitarist and songwriter born in Toronto,
Canada.He started out in The Whiskey Sours
in Toronto, and in 1966 became a founder member of the group Edward Bear who
had hits with songs including "You, Me and Mexico", "Last
Song" and "Close Your Eyes".After he left the band in 1971 he
moved to California and
played for Mama Lion and then returned home to be head-hunted by Rick
James.He was also a member of Jericho
and toured with the Average White Band before backing up artists such as
Rita Coolidge, Bo Diddley and Stephen Stills.He had weekly shows and a seven year
season of Stormy Monday on the
CBC radio network.He is
regarded as a blues guitar veteran and his theme music is known in movies
and on TV.He has also written,
recorded and released his own albums.
