Actress-singer
who started her professional career at fifteen years of age. Her stage credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Steel Magnolias and Anything Goes. She has been a member of several
vocal ensembles, including The Lea Jane Singers, The Jordanaires
and The Nashville Edition. According
to Judy, the highlight of her career was singing backing vocals with Percy
Sledge. In 2003, The Coppertones were formed. With Judy as the lead female vocalist,
the band has become a hit on the North Carolina party circuit. They laid down their first tracks, “Eat
Mo’ Grits” and “Party Down the Street”, in February
2006. Judy’s recording of
“Real Man” has also enjoyed airplay in the Southeastern United
States. A couple of their CDs, Boardwalk Memories and I Could Dance All Night II, are
available at major outlets.
