     Matyi, Cindy

    She is a singer, flautist, concertina player and internationally known artist who specialises in Celtic art and music.  She is a member of the Celtic band, Silver Arm, who have appeared and recorded with artists such as the Cincinatti Pops Orchestra, Kieran O'Hare and Liz Knowles.  In an organising capacity she is a director of the Cincinnati Celtic Music and Cultural Festival, a founder of the American Celtic Exhibition and gives regular master classes in Cincinatti.  Giving solo exhibitions with her artwork, which are often large Celtic oil paintings, she has appeared at venues such as the Irish Cultural Heritage Center in Milwaukee and she is also writing a book for children. She is an inductee into the Irish Traditional Music Hall of Fame.
