Actor and
tenor who joined the Atlanta Symphony Chamber Chorus and the Atlanta
Symphony Orchestra Chorus in 1994.
He has sung solos in Bela Bartok’s Cantata profana,
Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah,
and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Entfuhrung aus dem Serail. In 1997, he appeared on A Robert Shaw Christmas: Angels on High.
He played a
teacher in the Tanglewood Festival of
Contemporary Music production of Osvaldo Golijov’s opera, Ainadamar, on 10th
August 2003. In 2006, he
reprised his role on the recording of same, as well as the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra Chorus CD, Copland: Motets; Durufle: Gregorian Motets; Tavener:
Song for Athene; Vaughan Williams: Mass in G minor for Double Choir; Messiaen & Tallis: O sacrum convivium,
and the various-artists compilation, MoMu Vol. 2 – Moderne Musik fur Einsteiger und
Kenner.
He played a
Japanese envoy in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s mounting of Igor
Stravinsky’s opera, The
Nightingale, in the autumn of 2009.
