He is a countertenor, songwriter and teacher who began
his professional career in the 1980s as a church cantor.
In 1991 he went on to become a member of the choral
group Chanticleer, staying with them until 1997, which would see him
touring nationally and internationally with orchestras such as the New York
Philharmonic, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the San Francisco
Symphony.
Venturing out as a solo artist he released his album My
Solitude in 2005, which is a collection of new age a-cappella songs,
with many of the tracks written by him.
Other albums he has appeared on include How Sweet
the Sound, Jerusalem: Matins for the Virgin of Guadelupe, Mexican Baroque,
The Music of Chen Yi, Mysteria, Palestrina:
Missa Pro Defunctis/Motets. Portrait and Sing We Christmas with
Chanticleer.
Today he can be heard as a member of the medieval
ensemble Virelei de Bois based in Boise, Idaho.
In the field of musical education he gives private
tuition and teaches voice at the University of Idaho.
