attended the Royal College of Music in London from 1972 to 1975 and studied
under Ernest Hall, David Mason, and Richard Walton. Upon graduation, he became principal
trumpet for the BBC. In 1979,
he filled the same role with the BBC Northern Ireland Orchestra, a post he
held for two years. Then he
joined the ranks of the City of London
Sinfonia, and stayed
with them from 1981 to 1995.

Singers, the London Gabrieli Brass Ensemble, the

In the 1990s,
he relocated to the United
States. Since 1999, he has been the
principal trumpet with the Sacramento Choral Society and Sacramento
Philharmonic Opera, and performed with the Merced Symphony and the
Sacramento Brass Quintet.
