He is a classical guitarist and composer who studied in Granada,
Spain, with the Sacromonte gypsies, and in Madrid,
Spain, alongside his
formal training.He learned the
art of performing flamenco under the tutelage of artists including Paco Cortez and Gerard Nunez and accompanied singers in
theatres in Granada and Madrid.His concerts have been staged
throughout the world alongside appearing on Spanish television.He has appeared with orchestras that
include Budapest Radio Symphony, Atlanta Symphony and the Madrid Symphony,
as well as working with his wife who is the acclaimed flamenco dancer, Laila del Monte.In 1997 he won the International Stotsenberg
Classical Guitar Competition.
