    Moss, Linda

    Violist who attended the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Lillian Fuchs and earned a Master’s Degree.


    Groups with whom she has worked include the American Ballet Theater Orchestra, the American Composers Orchestra, the American String Quartet, the Atlantic String Quartet, the Da Capo Chamber Players, the Group for Contemporary Music, the Marlboro Festival Orchestra, the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the New York Pops, the Orion String Quartet, the Philip Glass Ensemble, and the Westchester Philharmonic.


    On 7th November 1990, she and cellist Bernard Greenhouse were the guest artists of the Orion String Quartet for a recital in Sanders Theater at Harvard University.


    She and cellist Timothy Eddy, violinist Daniel Heifetz and keyboardist Craig Sheppard performed Johannes Brahms’ “Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 25” at the Heifetz International Music Institute in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, on 21st July 2005.


    Recordings on which she appears include:  Aporias:  Requia for Piano & Orchestra by John Zorn; Bach:  Orchestral Suites Nos. 2 & 3 and Bach:  The Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 4-6/Orchestral Suite No. 4 with Pablo Casals & the Marlboro Festival Orchestra; Better Than Ever by Julius LaRosa; Chamber Works by David Diamond; The Concert by Barbra Streisand; Dial & Oatts; East of Broadway:  A Benefit for Fourth Arts Block; dance pieces, Glassworks, the soundtrack of Naqoyqatsi and Songs from Liquid Days by Philip Glass; and Works by Michelle Ekizian & Louis Karchin with the Group for Contemporary Music.
