ABBA

He is a trombone player, arranger, author and teacher who has been a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and was First Trumpet for the BBC Symphony Orchestra for many years. His arrangements of many major classical composers such as Bach and Bartok have featured on numerous recordings such as Festive Mood: Carols for Brass by the Burning River Brass and Song of Exuberance by the Metro Brass. The recordings he has appeared on as a trombonist include Maxwell Davies - Orchestral Works, Davies: Worldes Blis, The London Trombone Sound and The 20^th Century Album, Lollipops and Greatest Hits with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble. As a much-respected teacher he has been on the faculty of the Guildhall School of Music and is Head of Brass at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He also gives regular masterclasses and workshops in Cornwall, England and has written much referred to tuition books such as Unlocking the Tenor Clef.
