He is a tenor born in the United States who took his
music education further when he was made a Fulbright Fellow and able to
study theory and early music performance at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis
in Basel, Switzerland.Regularly appearing as a soloist he
has appeared in many dramatic productions such as the both of the J.S. Bach
"Passions", Britten's Curlew River, Handel's Acis & Galatea,
Mozart's Don Giovanni and Purcell's Dido & Aeneas.From 1991 to the late 1990s/early
2000s he was a member of the ensemble Chanticleer, performing suth
orchestras such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the New York
Philharmonic, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony.He has also sung with The Consort
of Musike and currently still performs with Ensemble Gilles Binchois and The
Harp Consort.Performing music
from all eras in over 120 concerts each year he has toured nationally and
internationally, appeared at several music festivals, on television and
radio broadcasts worldwide and featured on albums that include the Grammy
Award winning Colors of Love as well as Lost in the Stars, Matins
for the Virgin of Guadalupe, Mexican Baroque, The Music of
Chen Yi, Mysteria,Palestrina: Missa Pro Defunctis/Motets. Portrait and
Sing We Christmas with Chanticleer and Bach: St. Matthew Passion
by the American Bach Soloists.He has recently
performed Divine Tears in a lute recital with the lutenist Julian
Behr.He currently resides in
Basel, Switzerland.
