He is a violinist, concertmaster, strings contractor
and strings arranger occasionally listed as “Sid Paige”, who
has been in the music and recording industry for the last four
decades.
He was a member of Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks from
around 1974 and also appeared with his own Sid Page Strings on recordings
such as Martinis and Bikinis by Sam Phillips and others.
Spending much of his career in the studios as a
session musician or arranger he has appeared on countless film soundtracks
and albums.
Lending his talents to a huge amount of artists in one
guise or another, he has worked with artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Mary
J. Blige, David Byrne, J.J. Cale, Belinda Carlisle, Vikki Carr, Stanley
Clarke, Joe Cocker, Leonard Cohen, Lloyd Cole, Billy Ray Cyrus, Randy
Edelman, Jerry Garcia, Arlo Guthrie, Woody Guthrie, Faith Hill, Indigo
Girls, James Ingram, Mark Isham, Lyle Lovett, Richard Marx, Bette Midler,
Graham Nash, Aaron Neville, Randy Newman, The O’Jays, Roy Orbison,
