    Panny, Susan

    French horn player who has worked with the Bronx Arts Ensemble, the Chamber Symphony of New Jersey, Eroica Brass, the Little Orchestra Society, the Long Island Philharmonic, the New Jersey Symphony, the New York Pops, and the Westchester Symphony Orchestra.


    On 14th March 1987, the Westchester Symphony Orchestra offered up a wall-to-wall Mozart program that consisted of “Piano Concerto in C, K. 467” (“Elvira Madigan”) with Lee Luvisi at the keys, “Symphonie Concertante for Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon”, and “Symphony No. 38” (“Prague”).


    Eroica Brass gave the world premiere of Jeremy Beck’s “Brass Quintet” at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York on 7th November 1987.


    From 3rd May 1993 through 1st July 1995, Susan was in the orchestra pit for a production of the Broadway musical, Kiss of the Spider Woman.


    She and bassist Lou Bruno, pianist Elliot Finkel, xylophonist Ian Finkel and clarinetist Joseph Rutkowski delivered the world premieres of Elliot Finkel’sQuintette in C” and Ian Finkel’sZiggy and Pauly”, the latter with narrator Brian McNally, at Mannes Concert Hall on 7th September 2008.


    On 24th April 2011, she was one of several musicians who participated in Festival Holy Eucharist at Saint Luke’s Parish in Darien, Connecticut.
