She is a violinist born in Sydney,
Australia. She began to play violin when she
was three and made her solo debut when she was five. She studied at the Sydney Conservatorium
of Music, the Curtis Institute of Music and has taken masterclasses
with artists such as Yehudi Menuhin and Pinkas
Zukerman. She has appeared as a
soloist with orchestras including the Indianapolis Symphony, all of the
major Autralian orchestras, the Lille National Orchestra and KBS Orchetra
of Korea. Winning several
awards, she has been the recipient of the Sydney Reg
Marsh Award for Most Outstanding String Performer, the Ernest Llewellyn
String Award, the Victorian Premier's Award, and first prize in the Yehudi
Menuhin International for Young Violinists and in the Richard Goldner Concerto Competition. In 2001-2002 she was the
concertmistress of the Curtis Symphony and of the New York String Orchestra
Seminar in Carnegie Hall. She currently studies at the New England
Conservatory, is resident in the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Centre
Two, is a founding member of the conductorless
chamber orchestra ECCO, and since 2006 she has been a member of the Eroica
Trio when she replaced Adela Pena.
