    Peaker, Franklin (1935 – 2006)

Tenor and original member of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes who sang lead vocals on “Blue Star”, “Get Out (and Let Me Cry)”, “If You Love Me”, “My Hero” and “She is Mine”.  He was with the Blue Notes until 1970, although he also sang on Johnny Greco’s “Rocket Ride” and “Let it Please Be You” with Rick & the Masters.  In November 2006, he was hit by an automobile which left him in critical condition and shortly thereafter, his family opted to remove him from life support.  His funeral took place on 24th November in Germantown, Pennsylvania.
