    Pena, Adela

She is a violinist born in New York City.  She started to play the violin when she was four and  when she was eleven she would perform with Erika Nikrenz, the pianist who would later be in the Erica Trio with her.  She studied at the Juilliard School and went on to win the Mendelssohn Violin Competition and the Washington International Competition.  She was a founding member of the Erica Trio in 1987 and when she left them was replaced in 2006 by Susie Park.  As an ensemble member she is concertmistress of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and performs with the New York Philomusica Chamber Orchestra.
