    Pool, Carol

    She is a violinist who took her further studies at the University of Houston and Juilliard School of Music.

     

    Since the 1980s she has since performed with the New York Pops, had several stints in the orchestra pits on Broadway, been a session musician in the studio for several artists and a member of the Local 802.

     

    The Broadway productions she has performed on include The Phantom of the Opera, Carrie, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway and Hairspray.

     

    She has worked with many artists during the course of here career to date and a few of these include Blackstreet, Michael Bolton, Regina Carter, Dream Theater, Garland Jeffreys, Steve Kuhn, Rosie O’Donnell, Mandy Patinken, Portishead, Doc Severinsen, Mel Torme and Amy Winehouse.

     

    Just a few of the albums her work can be heard on are Duets II by Tony Bennett, Songs I Heard by Harry Connick Jr., Hit Man by David Foster & Friends,  The Photographer, Dance Pieces,  Songs from Liquid Days and Powaqqatsi by Philip Glass, Our Kind of Soul by Hall & Oates, The Holiday Album by Whitney Houston, The Spice of Life by Earl Klugh, Pop Goes the Movies by Meco, Suddenly by Marcus Miller, Live in Concert 2006 by Barbra Streisand and the original movie and Broadway soundtracks from Brownstone: The Musical, Bugs Bunny on Broadway, A Chorus Line, Clockers, Men in Black 3 and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
