     Porter, Joel

He is a singer-songwriter that put together the group Big Ric in Los Angeles, California, in 1982. Signed up by Scotti Brothers label, they released their self-titled album in 1983 and the song "Take Away" scratched the surface of the US chart at No. 91.  As a songwriter and co-writer, the 1970s/'80s singer Leif Garrett covered his "Give In" and "Guilty" on his 1979 The Same Goes for You album.  He later went on to appear with jazz artists such as Buddy Miles.
