He is a violist born in Eugene, Oregon, who studied at
the Music Academy of the West, the University of Southern California and
the Cleveland Institute of Music.
In his career as a professional musician he is a
co-founder of The Moveable Feast, has appeared at many music festivals
nationally and internationally and has been a member of the Debussy Trio
and The Festival String Quartet.
He has also been the Principal Violist of the National Repertory
Orchestra. He became a member
of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 1989 and continues to perform with
them today.
During the course of his career he has performed on
many recordings which include Grande Passion: World Sinfonia by Al
di Meola, Life Short Call Now by Bruce Cockburn, Don’t
Smoke in Bed by The Holly Cole Trio, Earthly Concerns by Grit
Laskin, Illuminations by Judy Loman, Adeste Fidelis by Gino And
Louis Quilico, Judy Loman and the Toronto Symphony & Children’s
Chorus, Along the Road to Bethlehem by the Toronto Children’s
Chorus and the soundtrack of Throw Momma From the Train.
