Vocalist who was a staple on The Lawrence Welk Show as a member of
the singing triad, Gail, Ron and Michael. A native of Portland, Oregon, Mike
went south to attend USC to study literature and performing arts. He wound up finding work in the
recording studios as a voice-over artist on The Flintstones and Yogi
Bear, and in the television studios, appearing on programs such as Donny and Marie, Happy Days, Johnny Mann's Stand Up and Cheer Show, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,
and Sonny and Cher. He joined Gail and Ron in 1980, and
they continue to perform today.
Some of the artists with whom Mike has recorded include Pat Boone,
Henry Mancini, Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra, and
Barbra Streisand. His film
credits include Disney's A
Perfect Harmony. Mike has
appeared on a number of gospel albums, including Communion:A Sing-A-Long, as a member of The Communion
Singers, and Worship and Praise for
the Family of God, Volumes 1 and 2. In 1998, he released an album of
gospel standards entitled Yesterday
and Today.
