He is a violinist who has performed in the classical, jazz and pop world with a recording career that began in the 1950s. He appeared as a member of the York String Quartet in the 1950s and/or '60s, the Abnuceals Emuukha Electric Symphony Orchestra in the late 1960s and Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra in the years between 1974 and 1979 and has been a guest/studio musician with groups and artists such as Cannonball Adderley, The Beach Boys, Glen Campbell, The Crystals, Bobby Darin, Steve Douglas, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Gap Band, Jim Horn, Harry James, Gene Krupa, The Monkees, Harry Nilsson, The Righteous Brothers, The Ronettes, Phil Spector, Tommy Tedesco, Mason Williams and Frank Zappa.
