     Robinson, Kim

She is a Celtic harpist, singer, composer and arranger born in Wisconsin who took her music training in orchestral harp and piano.  She studied in Europe at the Reims Conservatoire in France and then took further studies back home at the University of Wisconsin from 1975 to 1978.

She began to take notice of the Celtic harp during the 1970s and this would prove to be her road to success.   She became a pioneer in the folk harp and her arrangements and performance of Celtic music are know well known and have brought her much recognition.  Her compositions written in the Celtic style have also been very well received and she has made many appearances at international concerts and music festivals.

No stranger to the recording studio, she has released many solo albums that include Dance to Your Shadow, Searching for Lambs, The Spiral Gate, Tender Shepherd, Treasures of the Celtic Harp, Wind Shadows Vols 1 & 2 and Wood, Fire & Gold.  Other albums she has appeared on include Spirit by Peter Buffett, Love Song to a Planet with Bettine Clemen, Crimson Collection Vols. 1-7 with Singh Kaur, Gratitude with Virginia Kron, Back from Rio by Roger McGuinn, Crossing to Scotland with Abby Newton and Poet’s Heart with Kate Wolf.

In an instructional capacity she has released three videos on the subject, several books of harp arrangements and holds regular harp workshops at retreats.
