He is a percussionist, background vocalist and
songwriter born in St. Louis, Missouri.In the early 1970s he became a co-founder of the King
Davis House Rockers, which evolved into B.T. Express after several name
changes.They saw success in
1974 with the hits "Do It ('Til You're Satisified)" and his co-written "Express"
and later chart songs such as "Give It What You Got" and "Give Up the
Funk".The group carried on
into the early to mid 1980s and then in the 1990s Dennis and Louis Risbrook
(aka Jamal Rasool) reformed the group with a new line up and after having
released a 1998 live album they began performing through the United States
and also made appearances in Japan.
