    Russell, Bruce

He is an English baritone who began singing as a chorister in the Choir of King's College Cambridge when he was ten.   This was where he met Bob Chilcott, who was the senior chorister, and who would become a fellow King's Singer.  He studied at Shrewsbury School and gained a choral scholarship to Christ Church, Oxford.  Following graduation and after three years studying in London, he returned and taught flute and singing in local schools, as well as being a member of the choir at St.  George's Chapel, Windsor.  He joined the King's Singers in January 1988 and remained with them until 1997.    After leaving the group he spent two years at college and was ordained as a deacon in the Church of England on 4th July 2005, and in July 2006 he was ordained as a priest.  He is now a curate in Bracknell, England.
