He is a pianist, organist, conductor, arranger, author
and teacher who studied at Trinity International University, the University
of Minnesota and the American Conservatory of Music. As a performer he is the Principal
Organist of Moody Church, Chicago, where he is heard regularly on the Moody
Church Hour radio broadcasts and has featured with Tim Zimmerman &
The King's Brass, an accompanist for Heartland Voices as well as led many Trinity
choirs in national and international tours. His work has featured on several recordings with the
Trinity Choir and also with Tim Zimmerman & The King's Brass on The
Best of Organ & Brass and Stories of Beloved Hymns with Songs
in the Night Singers. In the
world of musical education he has taught classes in jazz, composition,
music theory, church music, hymnology and piano and has been on the faculties
of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Judson College, Illinois, and Crown
College, Minnesota. Aside from
teaching and performing he holds the position of Editorial Consultant for
the church musician magazine Creator.
