She is a violinist who
studied in Cologne and Dusseldorf. She set up violin and viola classes
at the Musikhochschule Rheinland
and in 1975 started to work as concert master with the Young German
Philharmonic and the German Chamber Philharmonic. She has been the concert master for
La Stagione since 1995 and is involved with the practice of 17th
and 18th Century works for which she has played both modern and
historical instruments. She is
currently a professor of violin at the Musikhochschule
in Cologne and tutors the
German Youth Orchestra.
