    Schreiber, Peter (1965-Present)

    He is an oboist and conductor born in Vienna who took studies in oboe, piano and recorder at Einstadt’s Joseph Haydn Conservatory and was a first prize winner in 1983 at the Young Musicians competition.  He later went on to enter Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts where he studied the oboe, conducting and music education.

     

    In 1988 he became a member of the Vienna Symphony and alongside his work with them he has performed with orchestras and ensembles such as the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic, Collegium Viennense, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Concert-Verein.

     

    In 2010 he made an appearance as the conductor of the Haydn Orchestra Eisenstadt.

     

    He has appeared on several recordings by the Collegium Viennense of works by composers such as Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Vincent Marti y Soler and Johann Nepomuk Went among others.
