    Senter, John

    He is a cellist and teacher born in Norfolk, England.  He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and was a founding member of the Arditti Quartet, which he performed with from 1974 to 1976.  When he was 22 he joined the BBC Symphony Orchestra and when he was 24 he became Principal Cello for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.  He has made many recordings with as a soloist and a member of orchestras including the Oslo Philharmonic, Liverpool Philharmonic and the Welsh National Opera.  He currently teaches cello at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
