    Short, Nigel

He is an English countertenor who was a chorister at Westminster Cathedral and sang opera and oratorios in various groups.  He joined the King's Singers in 1993 and left in 2000 after wanting to return to singing with larger groups that used ecclesiastical buildings as theatrical settings and combine traditional choral with an operatic style of performance.   He formed the choir Tenebrae and after working with the writer Richard McDonald they launched themselves with The Dream of Herod.
