    Sollscher, Goran (31st December 1955-Present)

    He is a classical guitarist born in Vaxjo Sweden.  He began to learn the guitar when he was seven years old and went on to study at the Malmo Academy of Music, Sweden, and the Royal Conservatory of Copenhagen, Denmark.  After winning the Concours International de Guitare when he was 23 he was awarded a recording contract which has resulted in a total of over a million sales for 19 released albums.  His acclaimed recordings include Here, There and Everywhere: Goran Sollscher Plays the Beatles and Bach: Transkriptionen fur Gitarre.    He has performed internationally along with all the Scandinavian orchestras and has been described as "the grand old man of guitarists".  As a teacher he holds the post of Professor at the Malmo Academy of Music after previously been an adjunct professor there.
