Vocalist who
sang with some of the biggies, back in the day. He appears on Chronological Bing Crosby, Vols. 46 & 48, which span the
years 1947-49, Bing—His Legendary
Years 1931-1957, and the Judy Garland album, The Letter. Robert
was a member of The Ralph Brewster Singers, who backed Frank Sinatra on “The
Christmas Waltz” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”,
both of which appeared on A Jolly
Christmas from Frank Sinatra, and The Gregg Smith Singers, who released
I Hear America Singing on CD in
1996. He also backed Harry
Belafonte on Calypso, Island in the Sun, and The Essential Harry Belafonte, and appears
on the compilation album, Sentimental
Journey: Pop Vocal Classics,
Vol. 1-4.
