    Stewart, Chris

He was a classmate of Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks at Charterhouse School and became a founding member of Genesis after having first been with them in The Garden Wall.  He appeared on the band's first two singles but he did not want to become a musician as a profession so left the band in 1968 to be replaced by John Silver.  He started working in a farm and drummed for Sir Robert Fossett's Circus and sheared sheep in Sweden.   He traveled throughout Europe and settled in the Alpajurras region of Spain.  As well as being a farmer he is a known author for books such as Driving Over Lemons and A Parrot in the Pepper Tree (which had the back text written by Peter Gabriel) and two contributions to the Rough Guide... series of books.  He now plays guitar and occasionally still drums
