Educator and
violist from England who started playing at ten years of age and attended
the International Menuhin Music Academy, where her teachers included
Mauricio Fuks, Yuko Inoue, and Lord Yehudi Menuhin.
She went on an
international tour with the academy’ s orchestra, Camerata
Lysy Gstaad, which
included a stop in Castelgandolfo, Italy, to give
a command performance for the Pope.
Then she
attended Indiana University and became Principal Viola of its concert,
festival, philharmonic, and symphony orchestras. She performed the same role in the
New World Symphony, conducted by Michael Tilson
Thomas, and then joined the Florida Philharmonic in May 2001.
In 2005, she
was on the faculty of the Suburban Music School in Media, Pennsylvania, and
she has also served on the faculties of the Main Line Youth Chamber
Orchestra and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.
She is also
active with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and appears on the
soundtrack of the 2008 independent film, Scenes from a Parish.
In 2009, she
became the Associate Conductor of the PRYSM Young Artists’ Orchestra.
