    Taylor, Marvin (28 August 1962 – Present)

Vocalist from Flint, Michigan, who grew up singing in the car during family road trips and listening to James Brown, The Jackson 5, and The Temptations.  He began singing in organized groups when he was still in the sixth grade.

In 1984, he and Simeo Overall cut a few sides, such as “Forever”, “Let’s Get Involved”, and “Thinking about You”, but they didn’t go anywhere.  Onstage, they opened for the likes of Full Force with Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, Rene and Angela, and Bobby Womack, and went on tour with former Dramatics member, L.J. Reynolds.

Marvin then joined Unique, with Jessie Robert Peck, and they released a CD in 1995 entitled Feels so Good on the Rizin Sun label, but it didn’t exactly set the world ablaze.  They recorded another CD, but it went unreleased.

In 2000, Marvin left the band and hooked up with a trio that performed in and around Detroit, but it was a short-lived affiliation, and soon he was a free agent again.

After dabbling in animation and theatre, he was picked up by The Spinners.  Ex-Unique member Jessie Robert Peck informed him of the opening, and he did his first show with them on 13th June 2009.
