and groups with whom he has recorded include The Anita Kerr Singers,
Ann-Margret, Rosemary Clooney, Sam Cooke, Duane Eddy, Arlo
Guthrie, The Jack Halloran Singers, Waylon Jennings, Rod McKuen, Joe Pass, Ray Peterson, Elvis Presley, The Ray Conniff Singers, Frank Sinatra, Mitchell Torok, and Weird Al Yankovic.
He also
appears on the western movie and TV compilation, My Rifle, My Pony and Me.
It was not his first foray into filmdom: Robert offered vocal support on the
Gene Kelly musical, The Young Girls
of Rochefort, released in 1967. He performed similar duties on a
string of movies in the ‘80s, taking part in the chorus and choir of Heidi’s Song and Lady in White, and singing
“Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries” in the Steve Martin
lip-synched musical, Pennies from
Heaven. In 1998, he was
credited with providing an “additional voice” in the animated
musical, The Little Mermaid.
