Longtime drummer for Bob Seger
& The Silver Bullet Band and half of the duo Teegarden
& Van Winkle.Dave Teegarden and Skip "Van Winkle" Knape were already developing a cult following when Bob
Seger asked them to lend support on an album of
covers entitled Smokin'O.P.'s
in 1972.A few years later,
when Charlie Allen Martin was maimed in a grisly automobile accident, Teegarden was asked to be his replacement.He appears on the bulk of the Seger repertoire, from 1976's Live Bullet to 1983's Like a Rock, which means you have
probably heard him drumming on those Chevy truck ads.Today, Dave owns and operates Natura Digital Recording Studios in Natura,
Oklahoma.
