He is a flautist and saxophonist born in Meridian,
Mississippi who grew up in Tuscaloosa.
He went on to take his further studies in music at the Tennessee
Becoming a member of the Muscle Shoals Horns he has
got his name well known and has toured nationally and internationally,
recorded and performed with many acclaimed artists such as Alabama, Gregg
Allman, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, Bonnie Bramlett, James Brown, Pete Carr, Clarence
Carter, Buzz Cason, Joe Cocker, Barbara Dickson, Donovan, Donna Fargo,
Dobie Gray, Isaac Hayes, Hot, Etta James, Waylon Jennings, Sir Elton John,
Mark Knopfler, Tim Krekel, Lenny LeBlanc, Lyle Lovett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mel
& Tim, Mink DeVille, Dorothy Moore, The Oak Ridge Boys, Roy Orbison,
Tony Orlando, Dolly Parton, Bobby Purify, Tommy Roe, Saturday Night Band,
Percy Sledge, Rod Stewart, Billy Swan, Johnny Taylor, Joe Tex, Tanya Tucker
and Ruby Winters to name just a few.
Continuing his association with Lyle Lovett he has
also been part of his Large Band, with whom he has
appeared on several TV shows and in the Grammy Award ceremony.
