    Trzetrzelewska, Basia (30th September 1954-Present)

She is a singer/songwriter born in Jaworzno, Poland and her surname is pronounced "Che-che-lev-ska".  She first appeared in 1969 with Astry, which was a local rock band and from 1972-1974 she was part of the Polish female group Alibabki.  In 1977 she sang with the group Perfect and in 1979 she settled in Chicago before moving to the U.K. in 1981.  Shortly after her arrival she met Mark Reilly and Danny White and they formed the group Bronze.  They later went on to form the band Matt Bianco who saw success with their first album Whose Side Are You On.  She and Danny White who had become her long-time collaborator left the group after that album and worked on pursuing her successful solo career.  She has gone on to have many multi-million selling albums internationally and Top 30 hits in the US.  In 2004 she and Danny White and Mark Reilly put Matt Bianco back together and released the album Matt's Mood which was met with critical success and have also since toured.
