He is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, percussionist,
keyboardist and composer who started out on his professional life in music
by performing gospel music in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Moving to Detroit, Michigan to expand his career, he
was often given gigs at clubs and festivals and appeared on various TV
shows that were broadcast in the area.
This led to him being asked to perform with many leading acts and at
the same time he performed with the group The Headliners. Then in 1996 he and The Headliners
were asked to join The Miracles on tour and so he was soon performing in
concert as a backing vocalist and bassist. Before long he was asked to become
The Miracles’ fourth vocalist on an official basis, which had been
the position held by the late Ronnie White.
Throughout the course of his career he has worked with
artists that include Boys II Men, Clarence Carter, Chairmen
of the Board, Brenda Holloway, Percy Sledge and Kim Weston among
others.
He is the owner of Hitline Records, which has released
his debut CD Smooth Eyes and the follow-up More Than One Night. He is also the co-writer of the
movie soundtrack for the 1997 With Nobody.
In recent years he has been a singer and
internationally toured with the Temptations Tribute by Damon Harris, has
put together and today performs in a tribute show to Marvin Gaye and can
still be heard as a member of The Miracles.
