He was a drummer born in Charleston,
West Virginia. He won an
outstanding soloist award at Ohio
State University and performed at the 1984 Presidential Inaugural
Ball. He recorded with Section
Eight, Zaccaria, Tone Poets and Stonefish and
then in 1995 joined the group Atlanta Rhythm Section. In November 1999, he died aged 37,
of a heart attack after an afternoon set in Orlando, Florida. It was
his daughter's first birthday.
