     Vigh, Andrea

    She is a harpist born in Hungary who studied at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.  Although having taken part in the Vienna Harp World Congress as a soloist her career did not take off until 1993 and since then she has been a member of orchestras that include the Budapest Strauss Orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, the Budapest Strings, the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Orchestra.  She has made several acclaimed recordings, extensively toured throughout Europe and has appeared in broadcasts on Hungarian television and radio.  As a teacher she has taught at the Bela Bartok Secondary School of Music, is a professor at the Liszt Ferenc Academy and takes masterclasses.
