He is a
violist who was a finalist in the BBC’s Young Musician of the Year in
1988. She has since performed
as a freelance musician with several orchestras and ensembles and has recently
performed as a member of the London Symphony Orchestra.
In May 1998 she
was the soloist in a performance of William Walton’s Viola Concerto by
the Sheffield Symphony Orchestra.
In 2006 she
performed a recital with the flautist Esther Ingram and the harpist Eleanor
Hudson at the Liverpool University Theatre.
In 2010 she
performed in a chamber ensemble for the Lunchtime Concert Series…All
Around the Bass at the Philharmonic Hall in London.
She has also
performed as a member of the Psappha Ensemble who
provided the orchestra for a production of Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble
No stranger to
the recording studio, she has played on albums that include In Time To
Voices by Blood Red Shoes, Onward by Alfie
Boe and Up At the Lake by The Charlatans.
In 2007 she
was a musician on the short horror film Worms.
