     Weber, Mary

She is a trumpeter, bugler, conductor and teacher who has appeared as a soloist and member of orchestras and ensembles.  She has gained her education in music from the University of Miami, where she also gained a degree in Sports Psychology, Syracuse University and the Tanglewood Institute on a Fellowship of Leonard Bernstein.

Her career has taken her from the world of classical to pop and she has performed with artists and groups that include Luciano Pavarotti, The Temptations, Mannheim Steamroller, Mel Torme, the Bob Coleman Orchestra, the Compton Heights Concert Band, Union Avenue Opera, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony, University City Symphony Orchestra, the Clarion Band whom she also manages, the St. Louis Brass Band and for two years she was the Principal Trumpet of New Orleans Symphony.

As a conductor she has led various ensembles including the Oasis New Horizon’s Band from its beginnings in 1999.

In February 1999 she and two other members of the International Women’s Brass Conference played fanfares on four-foot long trumpets at the Cathedral Basilica and in the TWA Dome for the visit of John Paul II to St. Louis, Missouri.

Up until September 2007 she was a bugler who would play the final taps at the funerals of veterans but sadly this was stopped due to federal budget cuts and she performed her final duty at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

As a teacher she is an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University and she gives private tuition to a wide range of students.
