guitarist, pianist, teacher and vocalist who studied at the Bigler/Lloyd Watts camp with intentions of becoming a
flute teacher (which she has) but was encouraged by Carol Bigler, Valerie Lloyd-Watts and Dick Perry to pursue vocal
She has since
become a multiple threat who dabbles in a variety of genres, including bluegrass,
children’s music, classical, country, folk, and pop-rock. Her repertoire ranges from Bach to The
Beatles to Eric Burdon & the Animals to June Carter Cash to Roxanna Lea
Glass to Hank Williams.
A member of
two trios, Group W and Peanut Butter Jellyfish, which have both released
self-titled albums, Lisa is also the Principal Flute of the Abington
Symphony. In 2007, Peanut
Butter Jellyfish received the Parents’ Choice Approved Award on the strength
of its songs about tolerance and the environment, and Lisa was accepted by
The Philadelphia Singers, just in time for a pair of concerts at Carnegie
She spent much
of 2008 and 2009 on the boards of the Delaware Valley Opera Company, in Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana,
and the Mermaid Playwrights’ Theatre in their production of the stage
play, What’s Wrong?.
she and her two trios have had a busy schedule of live performances at the
Doylestown Art Fest, Doylestown Brown Bag for the Arts, and the TK Club.
plays special events and weddings and gives private lessons in flute,
piano, and theory.
