She is a violist, violinist, conductor, arranger,
composer and orchestrator sometimes referred to as “Kris” who
has performed as a solo artist and often as a member of the Nashville
String Machine.
Her collaborations with other artists are well known
and in recent years she has been seen working with Mark O’Connor and
Bela Fleck on appearances made with the Boston Pops Orchestra and has lent
her abilities on several songs that have appeared in the charts, including
ten of the group Alabama’s No. 1 hits.
Working as a musician with probably hundreds of
musicians, singers and groups during the course of her career she has lent
her talents to a-ha, Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Johnny Cash, Kenny
Chesney, Roy Clark, David Davidson, The Dixie Chicks, Crystal Gayle, Nanci
Griffith, Whitney Houston, John Jarvis, Elton John, Brenda Lee, Loretta
Lynn, Melissa Manchester, The Mavericks, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire,
Bill Miller, Ronnie Milsap, The Oak Ridge Boys, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton,
LeAnn Rimes, Cat Stevens, Ricky Van Shelton, Pam Tillis, Randy Travis,
Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Don Williams and Trisha Yearwood among
countless others.
As you will appreciate, the albums she has appeared or

industry and has been co-nominated for a Golden Globe for the score to All
The Pretty Horses and was awarded the Video Premiere Award for the
score of Prancer Returns.
Other movies she has composed for include Hoodwinked! and Daddy and Them and she has worked as a
conductor and/or musician on Neil Young: Heart of Gold, An Unfinished
Life and Waking Up in Reno.
In recent years, she joined Dave Stewart and his
All-Star Band in his 2007 Tower of London concert in London, England.
