    Williams, Ralph

    Clarinetist who is purported to have performed on more than 700 soundtracks, as well as working with world-renowned artists and releasing his own solo albums. 

     

    Groups with whom he has worked include the Barkezian Ensemble, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the L.A. Reed Machine, the Opera Pacific Orchestra, the Pasadena Pops Orchestra, and the Pasadena Symphony.

     

    Recordings on which he appears comprise The Bolero Project by Francisco Castillo, Chamber Music of John Biggs by The Barkezian Ensemble, Dreamer by the L.A. Reed Machine, High Life by Wayne Shorter, Home Before Dark by Neil Diamond, Music of Contradictions by David S. Lefkowitz, “Old Havana” Chamber Music Vol. II by Yalil Guerra, Serenada Schizophrana by Danny Elfman, and Wilderness by Tony Williams.

     

    He can also be heard on the soundtracks of Avatar, Back to the Future 2, Batman, Conspiracy Theory, Dinner for Schmucks, Eight Legged Freaks, Fantastic 4, Home Alone, Ice Age 2:  The Meltdown, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, King Kong, Lethal Weapon, Miracle, The Notebook, Pocohontas, Rango, Spanglish, Titanic, The Uninvited, War of the Worlds, and X-Men:  First Class.

     

    His solo albums are Eclectic and Too Eclectic, released in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

     

    On 24th March 2012, he participated in Guitarathon at the Culver City Presbyterian Church in California.
