He is a drummer born in London
who is often nicknamed "Woody" or "Wooders". Through his friend Mark Bedford he became the drummer
for the group The North London Vikings which renamed themselves to Morris
and the Minors and then Madness.
They were one of the most popular groups in Britain
in the 1980s but disbanded in 1986.
From 1987 he played with the group Voice of the Beehive and rejoined
Madness when they reunited in 1992.
